We're in Minnesota for a while, mostly to visit family but also just for some vacation. My parents actually have the boys for a few days, so Beloved and I are by ourselves! Yesterday we went out to lunch, then came back to our "cabin" and read books, ate chocolate (mostly me with the chocolate), and watched Buffy. This morning we slept until almost noon. The little cabin we're in has a toilet and shower, but it's far enough out in the middle of nowhere that there is no phone signal or internet connection. Amazing!
I've been surprised to be hearing the long "o"s of Minnesotans again. I can't reproduce a Minnesotan accent, but I can certainly hear that Scandinavian, Fargo-ish thing when other people talk.
Oh! And today I was in a shop that sold earring made from fishing lures. Heavens... That's just about all I can think of to say about that.
How awesome that you guys have a few days to yourselves!! It's so important and such a recharger! :)
